You know the scene

Tuesday, 7:05 pm.

Everyone's hungry, nobody has an idea, and it's always the same person who ends up deciding.

Without a plan7:05 pm

What's for dinner tonight?

Dunno. You?

Whatever you want.

7:40 pm. Nobody chose. Pizza delivery, again.

With Piano Piatto7:05 pm

What's for dinner tonight?

Blanquette. The meat has been defrosting since yesterday.

I'll start, will you set the table?

7:08 pm. The answer was ready since Sunday.

One decision on Sunday, in peace.
Seven evenings when nobody has to think about it.

No more same old menu

Every week, something new to look forward to.

Monday, a gratin browning in the oven. Wednesday, a pad thai filling the kitchen with its aroma. Friday, the paella you'd never have dared make on a weeknight. Last week's dishes make way, and the ones your household loves come back more often.

How it works

Five minutes on Sunday. The rest of the week, you cook.

You set up your household once: who eats, what you don't like, the time you have. After that, here's what your weeks look like.

Sundayover a coffee

The week puts itself together

Lunches and dinners, varied, within your budget and your time. Courgettes and cream left in the fridge? The week starts from there, so nothing goes to waste. A dish doesn't appeal? One tap, and another takes its place. And what never changes, the morning porridge or a seasonal fruit as a snack, comes back on its own.

It remembers what everyone forgets

The meat to take out of the freezer, the dough that needs to rise, the chickpeas to soak. The app reminds you at the right time, the day before or an hour ahead. Then the recipe is cooked in two phases: the dough first, the cooking at mealtime.

Your own cooking

Your grandmother's lasagne has its place in your week.

Your go-to dishes no longer stay in a sauce-stained notebook. You write them once, and they live alongside the rest: in the plan, in the shopping, in cooking mode.

✓

"Create a recipe": the ingredients, the steps, your photo. Once, for good.

✓

Placed in your week like the others. Quantities follow your table, and the ingredients join the shopping list.

✓

You choose who sees them: just you, your friends, or everyone in Discover.

✓

Like someone else's dish? Copy it, change what you want, and it becomes yours.

✦ Out of ideas? The magic wand writes it with you

The community

Fresh ideas, from real kitchens.

In Discover, the dishes other people really cook, with reviews from those who made them. And from your friends, what they're eating this week, right on the home screen.

✓

Reviews that count: only people who have cooked the dish can rate it. A rating, a few words, "Kids loved it".

✓

Chloe's dish looks tempting? One "+", and it's in your week.

✓

Publish your own, and read what the people who cooked them think.

✓

A heart to keep what you like. Your favourites come back more often in your weeks.

✓

Send a recipe on WhatsApp, even to someone without the app. It opens in their browser, and cooking mode guides them step by step.

✓

A bell so you miss nothing: Marco changed Wednesday's dinner, Léa cooked your focaccia, Sara finished the shopping. It's all in Activity.

Free, for everyone.

Made for your household

Your table's quantities, not a recipe book's

A six-year-old doesn't eat like a teenager. You say who's at the table, the app does the maths, and you stop throwing away half the dish.

✓

Allergies and disliked foods left out automatically. They never come back.

✓

Twenty minutes on weekdays, two hours on Saturday: set both, and no more beef bourguignon on a Tuesday night.

✓

A review that says what to change: the dinner you always skip, the fish that's missing, the budget that's creeping up. And the button that fixes it.

✦ PREMIUM

So it's no longer always the same person who takes care of it

With Premium, the plan belongs to the whole household. Meal prep cooks once for several meals, and the magic wand writes recipes that suit you.

One subscription, the whole household

Up to six people see the same menu and the same list, live. Whoever gets home first knows what to start without asking. Whoever goes to the shop ticks things off, and the others see it.

One person subscribes, everyone else joins for free. Most apps charge every member. Not us.

Meal prep

An hour at the stove on Sunday, and your lunches are waiting in containers. The app chooses dishes that keep, counts the containers and tells you which ones go in the freezer.

On your phone or your computer

No app store needed

Piano Piatto opens in your browser. In three steps, it installs like a real app, on your home screen or your computer: an icon, its own window, and it starts right away.

  1. Open app.pianopiatto.com in Safari. On iPhone, it's the only browser that can install an app.

  2. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen, the square with the arrow pointing up.

  3. Scroll down the list and choose "Add to Home Screen", then Add.

The Piano Piatto icon appears with your other apps, and opens full screen with no address bar.

We started Piano Piatto for a very simple reason: every evening around 7 pm, the same question, and nobody wanted to answer it. Now, at our place, we decide on Sunday. The rest of the week, we cook.

Piano Piatto is made in Switzerland. A question, an idea, a dish you miss? A real person reads every message, and replies.

The questions we get asked

Five minutes, really?
Every week, yes. The week is put together in one tap: you read it through, change what doesn't appeal, and the shopping list is already done. The very first time, allow a few extra minutes to say who eats and what you don't like. You only do that once.
Won't we end up eating the same thing all the time?
No. Last week's dishes make way for others, from more than 800. The ones you mark as favourites come back more often, without going round in circles. And Discover suggests others, cooked and rated by the community.
At our place, breakfast is always the same. Does that work?
Yes. On any meal, "Keep it every week" brings it back on its own on the days you choose (porridge Monday to Friday, for example), and the rest of the week is built around it. For snacks, you can simply ask for a seasonal fruit: two or three fruits that alternate through the week, not seven. It's free.
I live alone and don't want to plan the whole week. Does that work?
Yes. Choose "A few days at a time", when you sign up or later in your profile: two, three or four days. On the last planned day, the home screen suggests the next ones, and the shopping list only covers those days, for smaller, fresher shopping. It's free.
I've got things left in the fridge. Does the app take that into account?
Yes. In the pantry, you tap what you have (courgettes, chicken, cream, rice…), no typing. The week is built first around what might go to waste, fresh before cupboard, and the shopping list doesn't make you buy what you already have. Want to empty the fridge before shopping again? "Cook with what I have" redoes your meals from there. It's free.
Can I add my own recipes?
Yes, and it's free. You write them once (ingredients, steps, your photo), then place them in your week like any other dish: the quantities follow your table and the ingredients go on the shopping list. You choose who sees them: just you, your friends or everyone.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Piano Piatto opens in your browser, on your phone or computer, and adds itself to your home screen in three steps: it's explained just above.
What if we never agree on what to eat?
That's the most common case. Discussing a suggestion that's already there is much easier than starting from nothing at 7 pm. What nobody likes is left out, what everyone loves comes back, and a dish that doesn't go down well is replaced in one tap. With Premium, the whole household sees the same plan, and the discussion starts from there.
What happens at the end of the 14 days?
Nothing unpleasant. You didn't give any card, so nothing is charged. You keep your account, your recipes and your week, and carry on for free with Kitchen. Premium only starts if you choose it.
Do the quantities really adapt to my family?
Yes. You say who eats (big eater, adult, teenager, child by age) and both recipes and shopping are scaled accordingly.
Are the prices those of my shop?
No, they are estimates based on average Swiss supermarket prices. They give you an idea of your week's cost and warn you if you go over budget.
How does the magic wand work?
You choose the meal, the time, the number of people, and write what you fancy if you like ("a mild curry", "kid-friendly"). An artificial intelligence writes the recipe taking your allergies into account. You read it through, edit it if you like and add your photo before saving it. It is then translated into the app's five languages. It's included in Premium, up to 20 recipes a month: the counter resets on the 1st of the month, and "Another idea" doesn't count. During the trial, you can create one to try it. Neither your name nor your address is sent to it.
How do I cancel?
In one tap, from your profile. The subscription stays active until the end of the period already paid.

Tonight, you already know what to cook.
